During the following monthly appointments with the pediatrician, it turned out that the son's weight was not gaining very well (this was very tightly controlled during the first year of life). They wrote me a list of what, when and how much he should eat. I was freaked out when I saw this manual. First thought: "I'll never remember this! " I had to hang the paper on the fridge so I could always refer to it.

A week later, the list was sent to the bin as unnecessary—it was clearly stored in my memory, even though I didn't set such a goal.

Around the same time, I noticed that I started paying less attention to physical activity, especially since the excuse was "iron" - I didn't have an assistant during the summer.

Add movement!

I just hung a list on the fridge with a certain muscle area indicated opposite the day of the week:

  • Monday - Press
  • Tuesday - buttocks
  • Wednesday - Legs
  • Thursday - News
  • Friday - Back, Chest
  • Saturday - Hand
  • Sunday - Legs

After that, I started exercising each day targeting designated areas (at least 5 exercises, 10-15 minutes total). In addition, I did my usual, familiar exercise: brushing my teeth and washing the dishes, squatting or standing on one leg, dancing while ironing, and doing short mini-exercises during work breaks.

Results didn't take long to come - the body "tightened" in just 3 weeks. At the same time, the reminder of the need to keep exercising caught my attention - after all, hiding is a sin, and we go to the kitchen a lot.

Adjust your diet!

The same can be done with food.

Follow the rules: I need to eat certain foods one day, and I decide the rest - so you don't feel like everything is completely limited.

E. g:

  • boiled eggs;
  • fresh carrot and cabbage salad;
  • apple;
  • pear;
  • boiled fish
  • cottage cheese;
  • Buckwheat.

Rules of use: One meal - only one dish. Rest between meals is 2-4 hours.

I am often asked: which is better, 2 hours or 4 hours? It's very simple - it's hard to take more than 2-2. 5 hours after eating the dim sum if it's really bland. If you eat more heartily, 4 hours will be better.

One more thing: it's best not to eat 3-4 hours before bed, but to eat as few carbs as possible at dinner.

Important conditions for successful weight loss

The fact that you need to drink enough water and sleep - this should be clear to my longtime readers, like God's Day.

In short: drink 30ml per kilogram of body weight (for example, if you weigh 100kg, the standard for water is 3 liters), and sleep at least 7 hours a night, and at the latest at 11 o'clock in the afternoon.

Also let me remind you: sleep deprivation, you can slow down 2-5 times, partially dehydrate your body (which is inevitable if you drink less) - 2-3 times. The conclusion and appropriate action is up to you.

There's one more important condition for successful weight loss at home: You don't need everything at once. This means that you first declutter one area, develop good habits in it, and then move on to another area.

You have four areas: food, exercise, water, and sleep. Start with what you think is easiest.

As for water and sleep, for proper motivation, you can also use reminders posted on the refrigerator wall. For example, the paper says: "I drink 2. 5 liters of water a day! " At the same time, an inscription like this will remind you why you do it - whenever the refrigerator comes into view.

Most importantly, believe in yourself! Let them tell you that losing weight at home is hard—after all, there are absolute temptations around. you can!
